About Daniel
No ego. NO  judgement. Just good COACHING .

G'day, I'm Daniel Rocco. Sport and movement have been part of my life for as long as I can remember — I played soccer overseas and here in Australia through my younger years, and that love of being active never left me.

For more than 20 years I've coached everyone from first-timers in their sixties to busy professionals chasing a PB — all under one roof, no ego, everyone made to feel like they belong. These days it's the one-on-one connection I love most: watching people grow, get stronger, and helping build a healthier community around them.

On weekends you'll find me coaching kids' soccer — there's nothing like seeing a team come together and each kid grow in confidence. Twenty years in, I still love what I do, and I just want to keep giving back to the community.

Stories

In their OWN WORDS

Real people, real progress — from first-timers to seasoned members who've made Rocfit part of their week.

"After 18 months of one-on-one training, the effect has been significant — and at nearly 76, gaining this strength is an outcome I never anticipated."

About four years ago my sister started gently cajoling me about improving my fitness. She'd been training with Daniel for a while and recommended his person-centred approach — she eventually prevailed, and I haven't regretted it.

I started with Daniel in early 2024 after years of a sedentary, office-based life. I'm now approaching 76, and after 18 months of one-on-one training, most weeks twice a week, my strength and flexibility have improved through my arms, torso and legs. He works me through fresh routines on different equipment, complemented by floor and mat work, so it's never the same-old-same-old.

I don't have to work up a vigorous sweat — just an overall warmth as I move through a session. Daniel's quiet supervision and encouragement matter to me, and it means someone's there making sure I don't do something stupid. It's a mental challenge too, focusing on the right technique for each movement. I was diagnosed with early-stage Parkinson's a couple of years ago, and his program is a great response to the cognitive and physical stimulus the condition needs.

If you're thinking of improving your physical and mental health — even beyond 76! — have a chat and a few trial sessions with Daniel. It could make just the difference you've been looking for.

"I was very fragile when we started. The level of fitness and strength I now enjoy is an unexpected outcome — I'd recommend Daniel unreservedly."

Read Simon's storyShow less

The first thing I should make clear is that I'm a person who never reads testimonials. I don't use social media at all. But when Daniel asked if I would write this, I had no good reason to refuse. I'm 73, retired, and first met Daniel through a class he ran for mature-age people looking to gain some general fitness.

It was fun, but short-lived — I had some serious health issues that took five or six months to resolve, after which I asked Daniel to take me on as a personal trainer. That's been our status for about a year now.

When I look back at my general fitness when Daniel started my training, it's not an exaggeration to say I was very fragile. Regaining my health was great, but gaining the level of fitness and strength I now enjoy is an unexpected outcome — I never anticipated it becoming the important part of my life it has become. None of this happened without expert guidance, consummate skill and unwavering judgement. Daniel's professional background is combined with a vast amount of teaching knowledge and experience.

I would recommend him unreservedly, with the highest possible praise.

"Being trained by Daniel feels like an experience of hope. He meets you at whatever fitness level you are, and connects you to your body and your mind."

Being trained by Daniel feels like an experience of hope. He's able to accompany you whatever your fitness level and body shape. He encourages you to connect to your body and also to your mind. He tailors your program to suit you, while providing enough challenge to push you through and create a sense of having achieved — which is quite exciting when it happens. This is the hope that Daniel provides. Piano piano si va lontano.

I've been training with him for four years. Being accountable to his friendly sessions has given me great hope and insight. I've come to understand that training is an ongoing life choice — it's provided me strength and the courage to keep trying new things, and it's grounded me, because my balance has improved immensely. Thank you Daniel for your continuous encouragement.

"Even on my worst days in the gym now, I'm head and shoulders above where I was. Daniel keeps me accountable and shows up for you."

I'd always struggled to get into the gym and feel confident in what I was doing when I was there. Daniel has been an incredible guide — keeping me accountable, pushing me when I needed it, and holding me back when he thought I could save the energy for something else.

Even on my worst days in the gym now, I'm head and shoulders above where I was without his motivation.

A genuinely lovely guy who shows up for you as you show up for him at the gym. He's always down for a coffee and a chat, and I couldn't appreciate it more.

I have trained with Rocfit for more than seven years and cannot recommend them highly enough. Daniel's warm and encouraging approach means my fitness journey has been tailored to my personal circumstances, challenging me to continually improve my strength and fitness.

My daughter has watched my progress and, after years of asking if she can train with Daniel as well, this year we've started a weekly mother-daughter session. She loves it and is inspired to continue to be active and strong!
